Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common cause of cancer-related death. Sorafenib the first approved drug for treatment advanced HCC. Depression frequent in cancer patients. Moreover, sorafenib might exert depression as an adverse reaction and paroxetine, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, recommended pharmacotherapy. This study aimed to investigate potential synergistic effects paroxetine on HepG2 cell proliferation Paroxetine were administered cells single-agents or combination. Cell viability was determined with XTT assay. Cellular apoptosis DNA content assessed by flow cytometry. The expression anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 examined immunofluorescence confocal microscopy.
